Snowshoeing
Snowshoes make it possible for you to walk on top of the snow with ease. While seemingly lacking the sportiness associated with skiing and snowboarding, beginners are sure to feel that same thrill when they head into a fresh snow-covered wood and see the wildlife there for the first time. The Tauta to Ashiu area receives about a metre of snow in winter, while about two metres tend to fall in the mountains – meaning that, from the riverside all the way up to the beech tree-covered mountain ridge, there are plenty of fields to snowshoe in here.

Cross-country Skiing
Born in snowy Scandinavia, cross-country skiing was originally used as a means of transportation rather than a sport. Today, it has become a popular activity! Once you learn the correct use of the equipment and master the techniques of skiing, you'll be able to glide smoothly along gentle forest trails. As you ski along the beautiful valley trails, take your time to spot traces of wildlife, observe plants, and fully enjoy the winter nature. By following the tracks left by your skis, you can experience a very comfortable and enjoyable touring adventure!
