Cooking rice with traditional wood-fire oven

Beginners are welcome!Traditional rice cooking experience in MIYAMA

In old days, people all over Japan cooked rice with cook stove heated by burning wood. At Guesthouse Yu, 100 yrs old traditional house located close to Miyama's Roadside Station, you experience the life in old days, cooking rice in a hagama pot or a traditional broad-brimmed rice-cooking pot, which is made to fit the opening of the oven top to be heated by fire from below.
The host will give you hands-on guidance.  Those of you not experienced in outdoor activities are also welcome!
