Snow Festival
The snow festival is held on 11th of February at the sports ground of Miyama Nature & Culture Village Kajikaso Inn which is 3 min drive from Miyama Thatched Village. There is a snow sculpture contest, a big snow slide and a snow sports contest. There are also various food stalls. The festival itself is free to attend and there are return buses from Kyoto for around 3000 Yen, which must be booked in advance.
