Experience at Kenji-san's house
Kenji-san, his wife, and their cats and a dog will warmly welcome you in a traditional Japanese house with an "Irori" hearth. You will experience rural life by strolling through the village, harving seasonal vegetables at Kenji-san's field, and taking a leisurely look at the scenery from the "Engawa" veranda.
Experience at Machiko-san's house
Would you like to join Machiko-san's cooking experience? This is a recommended experience for those who love to try the cuisine that Japanese people eat in their daily lives, which cannot be tasted at restaurants. Machiko-san will tell you various "tips" to make tasty local home cooking dishes.
Experience at Miyoko-san's house
Miyoko-san and her family live in a typical thatched-roof house in Miyama. There is also a water wheel next to the thatched house, and you will see a traditional scenery that looks like it might appear in a Japanese folktale. One of the attractions of her house is that you can see the thatched roof structure in the attic.
Experience at Akane-san's house
Akane-san and her husband moved to Miyama about 5 years ago and live in a traditional Japanese house. They grow organic vegetables in their own fields. When you take a walk around the house, you'll see a variety of vegetables and herbs, and may have chance to harvest them. Why not enjoy cooking lunch using local ingredients?
