Hachiman Shrine Parade
This Shrine was founded in 1071. Its annual festival is held early October (usually 1st Sunday of October) followed by a parade with people carrying small shrine (omikoshi). The shrine is located in Miyama's thached roof village in the Chii region of Miyama.
The small shrine is carried around the village to remove bad spirits and pray for the safety of all the families who live there. There is a tiny shrine carried by children which follows official larger one carried by adults.
